Found running lose in a municipality with a breed ban, Velocity would have been in big trouble if Animal Control got her before we did. Thankfully a concerned citizen who didn't want to see anything bad happen to her contacted us.
Velo is now safe in our program and we are getting to know her. First thing we discovered is that Velocity is most likely deaf. Not surprising for a white dog. She isn't pure albino but she doesn't have a lot of pigmentation.
We are not sure what breed Velocity is. She might have some Bull Terrier in her or even some DOGO. She is definitely some Bully type dog.
FOSTER HOME NEEDED
Velocity is currently staying at the boarding facility where she is learning hand signals. The staff and volunteers thinks she is a great dog. Here's a note from one of her handlers: "Velocity is really turning out to be a sweet dog. She is very loving and now her favorite thing is to "dance" with me in the back yard. She will jump up and walk around on her hind legs with me. I really think she was previously owned - She is not happy in boarding. She needs a foster home as soon as possible".
Training: Our volunteers are working with Velo to teach her hand signals. Velocity hasn't had one accident in her kennel.
Personality: Velo is outgoing, fun-loving and friendly. She is very athletic and would do well in a home with a large fenced yard or with someone who likes to take long walks.
